Hungarian religious communities delivering humanitarian aid to flooded areas of Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia

Many individuals and organizations from Hungary delivered humanitarian aid to flooded areas of Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia. Central-European Religious Institute wishes to thank all religious communities who provided help in biggest floods in recorded history of Balkan. Below you can find more data about communities which responded to call for help. The list is probably much longer, we are mentioning here only those we know of.

The Food For Life team in Bosnia-Herzegovina

ISKCON (Hare Krishna) provides 1.300 vegetarian meals for people from folded areas sheltered in Red Cross shelters in Belgrade, Serbia, and in Bosnian capital of Sarajevo.  On the picture: The Food For Life team in Bosnia-Herzegovina

Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) distributed  a total of 107 tons of water, food, and clothes: 30 tones to Serbia, 37 tones to Bosnia and 40 tones to Eastern Croatia. The next project is to help the local people in cleaning their communities and helping them to get their life back to normal.

Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology Hungary, in 48 hours collected 5,5 tons of food and delivered to people from flooded areas of Croatia.

Order of Malta’s worldwide relief agency, has allocated funds for emergency interventions, while the Order’s Hungarian Association Relief Corps has sent a team to coordinate aid and launched a fund-raising campaign to help displaced families.

CARITAS - Roman Catholic relief, development and social service organisation collecting donations and constantly working with local Caritas offices in distribution of tons of most needed humanitarian items. Hungarian Caritas is constantly cooperating with Caritas in Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia.
